Cleveland Airport Plane Pull
Organized on behalf of Special Olympics Ohio, the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport Plane Pull is a fundraiser that will forever impact your elementary school recollections of tug-of-war. The event, hosted annually, brings together teams of community members paired with a Special Olympics participant, allowing them the opportunity to flex their muscles in combatting a 70,000 lb. plane. With more than $48,000 raised in 2016, the Plane Pull brings those playground memories into perspective with a different kind of opponent—and a great kind of cause.
Create and facilitate memorable event design while also inspiring potential plane-pullers to join the cause through targeted social media campaigns.
Spread the word through the development of logos, media partnerships, marketing materials, and social platforms.
As each year’s Plane Pull draws more attention and participation from the CLE community, the Special Olympics has benefitted immensely from the funds raised throughout the process. The use of eye-catching fonts and streamlined artwork accurately conveys the messaging of the event, putting focus on what matters: the cause at hand. After recruiting fellow Clevelanders to become part of the fun, Team Recess went nose-to-nose with that 737, too—in the name of bringing awareness to Special Olympics and the fantastic work that they do.
